This is a really easy and quick way to prepare sliced pork belly. It goes great on fries, in tacos, by itself with a side of cole slaw, you could even put it on a salad….I mean pork belly on a salad, sounds pretty good to me!

The beauty of sliced pork belly and this recipe is it can be changed and adjusted to your personal tastes and to any number of different flavor profiles! So follow the below or let your imagination take the lead and enjoy all the things you can do with some amazing sliced pork belly!

Ingredients

1 lb of C&F Farms thick sliced pork belly

Chinese 5 Spice Blend

2 TBS butter

1 TBS Hoisin sauce

1 TBS teriyaki sauce

Water as necessary

Directions

Cut the pork belly into pieces approximately 1 inch long.

Season the pork belly generously with the Chinese 5 Spice Blend.

Heat a skillet over high heat and melt the butter.

Add the seasoned pork belly to the skillet and reduce heat to med-high.

Stir occasionally for approximately 10 minutes until the pork belly is browned and starting to crisp. Note: don’t let it crisp completely…we’re not making bacon! You want it just starting to crisp on the edge.

Once the pork belly has browned add the hoisin and teriyaki sauce to the skillet.

Stir to combine, lower the heat and let simmer for about 5 minutes.

If the sauce gets too thick you can add a little water to thin it just a bit!

Add on top of some fries with cheese and sour cream and enjoy!
