From Our Farm to Your Family's Table

A third generation farm working every day to leave it better than we found it.

C&F Farms is a small family farm in the Bonsack area of Roanoke County. The first parcels of land that now make up the home farm for C&F Farms were purchased in 1948 by Emory Cox, where he farmed for over 45 years. The farm started out raising a variety of things from row crops, vegetable crops, as well as different types of livestock. Over time as the markets changed the farm moved away from crops and began concentrating more on livestock production, still selling into the commodity market.

Starting in 2020, we changed our model, and while still concentrating on livestock production we are really focused on how that livestock is raised. As a family who farms we see and know the benefits of providing our animals with both a clean and healthy environment and what that does for their quality of life but also what it does for ours. Through intensive management practices we are able to provide our animals with new forage areas daily as well as access to clean and fresh water. By mimicking more of a natural system our animals are impacted less and live a healthier lifestyle, this healthy lifestyle is passed on not only to the consumer through quality products but also to the environment improving soil health and the ecosystem.

As a third-generation farming family, we believe in leaving the land better than we found it, raising our animals with care, and providing our customers with food they can trust.

Our commitment to ethical and regenerative farming means our livestock are raised on open pasture, enjoying fresh air, natural diets, and plenty of space to roam. We never use synthetic growth hormones or unnecessary antibiotics, and we prioritize non-GMO feed to ensure the highest quality for our meats.

When you choose our farm, you're not just sourcing meat—you’re supporting a way of life that values integrity, quality, and the connection between people and their food.
