Sautéed Green Beans with Garlic and Lard

We thought you might enjoy a simple, yet delicious, recipe to try our new lard:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons C&F Farms lard
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges (optional)
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and immediately plunge into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking. Drain again and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the lard over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic-lard mixture. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the green beans are heated through and slightly crispy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with lemon wedges on the side, if desired.
