Marinated Skirt Steak

INGREDIENTS

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
  • 1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 cup your favorite hot sauce
  • 1/8 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup rice wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 4 cloves garlic, pressed
  • Red pepper flakes to your preference
  • C&F Farms skirt steak or other favorite marinating steak!

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk to combine. Adjust ingredients as necessary to your taste.
  2. Cut the skirt steak into even pieces. A full skirt steak should make 3-4 8” pieces. Adjust this based on the size / type of steak you’re using.
  3. Put steak in a dish and pour marinade over and cover the dish tightly.
  4. Place the dish in the fridge and let marinate for at least an hour and up to 8.
  5. Preheat your grill to 400 degrees or higher.
  6. Remove the steak from the dish and pat gently dry with a paper towel.
  7. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on the first side. Flip the steak and cook until you reach your desired doneness.
  8. Pull from the grill and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
  9. Slice against the grain, serve, and enjoy!!

This is a really tasty way to prepare a cut of steak that isn’t as common. We like to serve with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus!!
